Director - President/CEO – David Martens
Mr. Martens has twenty-seven years experience as the owner/manager of Pro-Am Color Ltd., a successful retail photo finishing and equipment establishment in Abbotsford, British Columbia. In May 2000 he expanded Pro-Am Color Ltd. with the purchase of Memory Weavers resulting in the largest retailer of scrapbook supplies in the east Fraser Valley area of British Columbia. The Memory Weavers store was sold in January 2007.
Mr. Martens has developed a number of innovative products such as the EXTREME GREEN, introduced to the public in January 2007, HOLD-A-ROLL which is presently being sold in Fields©, and BEST Craft Organizer which has surpassed all expectations. Development and manufacture of other products will continue for worldwide markets during 2009. He has extensive sales and business knowledge, including product promotion and is the formulator of sales and business development strategies to expand customer base and company product offerings.
Mr. Martens is also the inventor, entrepreneur and driving force for the Corporation. His vision for many years has been to develop and market his inventions. That vision was realized five years ago with the incorporation of FIRST CHOICE PRODUCTS INC. which is now a multi product company in an international marketplace. Mr. Martens’ commitment as CEO of the Corporation is to build FIRST CHOICE PRODUCTS INC. into a global product development and marketing corporation.
Mr. Martens is also the holder of a Certificate from Simon Fraser University for completion of the course, PUBLIC COMPANIES, Better, Faster, Cheaper.
Director - Linda A. Peters
Ms. Peters has worked in the corporate legal and business management fields for more than seventeen years. Along with a business education obtained from Vancouver Community College and Price Waterhouse & Co., Ms. Peters brings to the company her many years of administrative and business development experience.
After eight years working as a Paralegal, Ms. Peters is responsible for account management and all matters dealing with the corporate administration of a company, including compliance, auditing, control and compensation.
Ms. Peters is also the holder of a Certificate from Simon Fraser University for completion of the course, PUBLIC COMPANIES, Better, Faster, Cheaper.
Director - Norm Rempel
Mr. Rempel brings a progressive background in senior-level operations, product development, sales and financial management capacities. His solid leadership abilities, business mindset and decision making skills in guiding companies to achieve tangible growth in market share, sales and profit have already increased the profitability of the Company. He continues to maintain strict control over operating expenditures and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
Mr. Rempel’s tenure as Vancouver Branch Manager of Culligan Water Company has provided him with the experience to oversee the day to day operations of the Company and assist in formulating sales and business development strategies to expand the customer base and company product offerings. He is responsible for operating/capital budget administration, resource allocation, and inventory management.
Mr. Rempel is also the holder of a Certificate from Simon Fraser University for completion of the course, PUBLIC COMPANIES, Better, Faster, Cheaper.
Mr. Rempel is a Certified Manager , a designation earned through the Institute of Certified Managers.
Director - Tim Bain
Mr. Bain entered the Aviation business shortly after finishing college in 1987 and quickly excelled in the management side of that field. For over 15 years he has handled the administration and operational requirements of CHC Helicopters Inc. in Southeast Asia, Africa and throughout North America.
In 2001 Mr. Bain was elected to the board of directors for the Sumpter Valley Railway in Oregon.
As a director of this railway he had headed up their $14 million expansion plan and also functions as their General Manager. Mr. Bain also serves as a director for Lighting Ridge Resources Inc. and servers as president of Northview Ventures Inc.
Mr Bain was appointed to the board of ITI World Investment Group Inc. in 2006 to find a suitable private company for acquisition. One year later he was elected as president of ITI World Investment Group Inc. and worked with First Choice Products Inc. to complete a merger of the two companies.
